Aluminum alloy casting T6 heat treatment process procedure
aluminum alloy T6 treatment is solid solution treatment plus artificial aging treatment, aluminum alloy of different components as long as the heat treatment is solid solution treatment plus artificial aging treatment can be called T6 treatment, indicating its heat treatment state.

Preparation before heat treatment (equipment: aluminum alloy solution (quenching) furnace):
1. Before heat treatment, check whether the heat treatment equipment, control system and instruments are normal.
2, castings in the furnace should be dry without oil, stolen goods, explosive, such as the treatment of castings should be classified according to the alloy grade, outline size, casting wall thickness and heat treatment specifications, different brands should not be mixed with the furnace.
3. Castings with warpage in shape should be placed on a special chassis or bracket, and suspended cantilever parts are not allowed. Large castings should be placed on a special rack to install the furnace.
4, check the casting performance of the single casting or auxiliary casting test rod should be with the parts together with the furnace heat treatment, in order to determine the performance of the casting.
Heating and heat preservation:
1. After heating to the set temperature, check and correct the temperature (? ℃) to prevent local high temperature or burning.
2. When the power failure cannot be recovered for a short time, the castings in the heat preservation shall be quickly discharged and quenched. After returning to normal, the furnace shall be reinstalled, heat preservation and heat treatment shall be carried out, the total insulation time should be slightly extended.
Out-of-oven cooling:
1. After the heat preservation is completed, open the furnace door and put down the material basket to quickly drop the casting into the pool, and quench it into the specified cooling medium for cooling.
2. Quenching transfer time refers to the total time from the casting out to the casting out of the casting into the medium, preferably not more than 15s.
Correction of casting deformation:
1 The deformation of the casting should be corrected immediately after quenching, and the correction molds and tools should be prepared in advance before quenching.
2 according to the characteristics of the casting and deformation of the corresponding correction method, correction should not be too strong, to be slow and uniform.
Aging operation: (equipment: aluminum alloy aging furnace):
1. For castings that need artificial aging, aging treatment should be carried out within 0.5h as soon as possible after quenching. The quenched basket can be pushed directly into the aging furnace, but the temperature of the product shall not exceed the aging temperature.
2. The automatic temperature control instrument is set at temperature, then the electric heating is sent, and the fan is started.
3. After the heat preservation time is up, disconnect the power supply.
